Watch Our WorkWhen a tree is dead, hazardous, or needs to go — we take it down completely. Fred's logging background means every takedown is calculated, controlled, and done right the first time. Stumps ground below grade. Site left spotless.
Proper trimming extends a tree's life and reduces storm damage risk — but it has to be done right. Fred trims with the structural understanding of a logger, not a landscaper. Every cut is intentional.
FIELD NOTES — Southeast Michigan
— Fred Lauck, Owner / Michigan Tree Ace
Michigan Tree Ace isn't run by someone who took a weekend course and bought a chainsaw. Owner Fred Lauck spent years in the logging industry — where you work with trees at scale, where the stakes are high, and where cutting corners gets people hurt.
That background means Fred reads a tree the way a professional logger does — understanding the lean, the weight distribution, the risk. He brings logging-grade precision to every residential and commercial job in Brighton and across the surrounding area.
Quality isn't a selling point. It's the only standard Fred holds himself to.

"After a lightning strike at our home, our tall pine next to the house had to come down. When Fred came out to look at the house, I asked about taking down an old apple tree that was next to dead. He took down both and cleaned up the yard nicely! He and his team are fab. We highly recommend."
